Hi, my computer has an old nvidia pcie 9400 GT videocard, Reaper daw, both linux and windows versions, the latest yabridge plugin wrapper, in debian MX Linux based AVLinux with xfce desktop interface. I've read that wine-staging 9.8 has some bug-fixes for audio, but I haven't tried it yet. The Reaper demos run 30 days in full mode, and honour system after that. I've read that whatever 'vulkan' video items are in your repository may help complex plugin gui's. I have the nvidia 3D driver installed in a couple of setups, the 340 version for my legacy card
Reaper versions are around 15 meg https://www.reaper.fm/download.php
The linux version can be extracted to a folder. I use a folder named with the version, .715 currently, so start it with
.715/reaper
Proteus VX works well in wine, with a ton of soundswedged into 76 meg. from an E-Mu synth module in the good old days
