I'm curious, who is actually using Wine for anything else but audio?
The main use seems to be games.
Yeah I was just about to mention that. Maybe a branch of Wine specifically focused on proaudio for those who really need their Windows VSTs maybe necessary?
Think about it! We've got many migrating to Linux and many of these forks dropped some dollars on Windows VSTs so a focused environment for these toys to be played with maybe a good idea.. What y'all think? Not that I could do it but maybe if enough folks who really can't part with their Win VSTs can request it at WineHQ. Maybe someone fork it. They're doing it already for the gamers so........
Bit late to the party however I buy Codeweavers given their support of upstream Wine: https://www.codeweavers.com/wine#our-support
Codeweavers would give you a stable Wine with far less breakage.
