I just tried to give Dynebolic a spin but failed to get it to a desktop. Boots OK to console login.
Initially I was shown error "Error: No suitable video mode found. Booting in blind mode " but got past that with - https://git.devuan.org/jaromil/dynebolic/issues/23
Press c when you see the Graphical Install/Install menu.
Enter insmod all_video.
Press Escape.
Boot.
Now I get a login prompt which works with user:dyne password:dyne and can su to root with password:dyne. But no desktop. startx fails.
Maybe it's because I'm on Nvidia GTX 970 and dynebolic being based on Devuan has no non-free firmware or software.
Giving up for now. 
Edit:- boots live to desktop in Virt-manager/KVM/QEMU. Didn't try to get audio working though.
