MusE Sequencer • Re: [compliment for the MusE devs] Nice detail!

I've thought about how we might someday do that for the piano roll.
Device redirection per key, custom keyboard splits, named notes etc.

I've told this story before:
Way back around 2K when I decided to try linux audio to see if it was mature enough to actually use,
only MusE had one feature I found really useful. The feature is the ability to easily transpose the incoming
midi with the 'transpose' adjustment (now found on the midi mixer strip 'properties' tab).

I'm very much a 'live' player and that feature made my day. I was so happy to be able to play my
five-octave keyboard and have it sound in the correct octave, after 'transpose' adjustment if necessary.

That's when I knew someone put some thought into MusE. I was hooked. That's the one for me.
I rolled up my considerably long programming sleeves and started contributing.

But Linux audio was new to me. Real time. Privileges. ALSA. Pipes. Unix way of things.
Many years of DOS/Win audio was fun, but this was so challenging and I made a lot of mistakes and it
took a long time to mature.

Shout out to @spamatica.
Been there to help me since day 1. Helping me get my code in there. Minding all things project-related etc.
It let me just get on with the coding.
