You'll want the linux zip archive, and the assets archive. extract the assets and you get a folder 'Surge Synth Team', put that in your
/home/you/Documents folder.
Extracting the linux version zip gets you a folder obxf_products, with lv2, vst3, and clap versions, and a binary for /usr/bin
...move them to where you have such things.
Right-click on the gui opens a menu, from where you can save your presets. As it's a new OB version, with many changes and improvements incoming, old OB-Xd presets won't work.
An options menu is at the upper left of the binary for audio settings. With one instance in Reaper, I ran the standalone, and connected it to rakarrack, with no issues. The Surge team will make this an even greater linux instrument as time goes on.
