quantum pipewire
thank you in anticipation. whether this works or not on spirallinux. with "bookworm" base and cinnamon desktop. because for some reason when i open qjackctl then qtractor i get a buffer size of 256. it should be 1024. i have a couple of other linux os installations. where i run the same two programs with pipewire pre-version-1. and i get 1024 buffer size. it's mind-boggling.
i think i found a way. set it in qjackctl settings. but it doesn't stick. the next time i start my installation of spirallinux.
it really isn't a lot of trouble. jack_capture works without problems. so i shouldn't have complained. but with buffer size of 256 it is a bit more cpu intensive. i will get a few buffer overruns anyway. i have to use a newer computer.
