I know not accurate, but was just trying to get an idea.
For me Ardour idles around 2%
I recently installed I think 8.11 again and strange it seems more like 1%, but the second I even add a blank audio track it goes back to 2% 
But 2% seems to have been my average on other versions.
WIth the MultiSampler, I think mine increase something like 2% with each version
12 = 2% (not including Ardour idle value)
24 = 4% (not including Ardour idle value)
48 = 6% (not including Ardour idle value)
Can be tough if want to create an instrument that requires higher samples amounts requiring the 48 version.
This is with no samples loaded at all, cannot remember if these increase when samples are added but idle.
For example, I know the IR loaders, very low at idle with no samples loaded, but if an IR is loaded and idle, depending on the size of the IR, DSP can really go up and remain constant.
All great plugins though
