Thanks very much for your replies. Mint 22 cinamon will be installed so with Pipewire as default audio driver.
So I plan to proceed in three steps:
i) Install audio softs from Mint packages without caring about performance (I should be able to use Ardour with direct ALSA if I need reasonable latency).
ii) When I will be less of a newbie, I will think about optimizing performance. Apparently using Unbuntu-Studio-Installer is a good and simple way to go for Unbuntu based distros.
For the moment I am trying to understand what to install and in which order, especially concerning jack in pipewire using softs as jack clients. I have read I just need install pipewire-jack, but it is unclear if Jack clients will understand it. I also do not know if I need to install from Flatpacks or not.
I ll let you know here when I will receive the computer and tried that.
