I recently discovered the Noct Salamander Project. Yes, it is yet another variant of the Salamander samples. It has several improvements, one of which is that the samples have been adjusted so that there is a consistent, continuous velocity curve. For example, some SFZ pianos have a disjointed jump in loudness between velocities 63 and 64. The Noct Salamander doesn't have any disjointed jumps between adjacent velocities.

Finally got around to trying these, and sounds great to me. I added a little Dragonfly room reverb, and a very subtle GX Tube Tremelo on the reverb, and to me, in my low-end headphones, it's got a delightfully expensive tone and ambience that beckons one to keep playing 8) A 1.5 gig download, Takes up about 1.8 gig when extracted.
Cheers
