The DAW is designed and developed on X11, all of the Plugin frameworks are developed on and for X11 why choose Wayland right now on an Audio production machine? Production is 'mission critical' so an established and mature foundation only makes sense, Wayland and Xwayland are coming along but nowhere near just ready to use with every Audio Program and Plugin framework. Especially something like MuSE that is doing all it's can to just improve it's stability with a very small team I'd guess bleeding edge tests of every component and possible extension with Wayland aren't top priority right now..
