Recently came back to DAWs after a long time away. Last one I used was Bitwig. I try for open source but I had a free Bitwig 8-track that came with my nektar Inmpact LX MINI. Apparently it's not even usable now, obsolete, must pay for upgrade.Also looked at Reaper, Zrythm, and Ardour for a second.
Looking around for keys and I don't find much. Apparently people say Pianoteq is best and maybe I'll end up there. I find their aggressive crippleware demo, missing keys etc., pretty obnoxious.
I tried to get a Keyscape going with yabridge but no luck. One of the DAWs, forget which, will show Keyscape in instrument list, but it does not work. The others don't even show it at all.
So, Pianoteq only real option it seems?
