Turns out it is (partly) my amplifier's headphone socket. If proper contact is made with the plug I hear no distortion. But strangely, I can only reproduce this distortion with your Faircamp track, not with the Bandcamp track....
If I'm fast, maybe I can get Santa to give me a new amplifier..
I think it may have to do with the audio files too: Bandcamp, Mirlo etc probably encode files with a better quality than Faircamp does when using the "frugal" option (48khz and 128k for mp3 and opus). I wouldn't rule out the fact that in some setups they may indeed sound distorted because of that: one way to check might be downloading one of the files and playing them locally to see if you notice the same problems. That said, for a basic showcase website made with Faircamp and hosted on a tiny server I pay 1€/month I can't really complain
