Making noise allows you to do anything. It's just sound to me, the way I want it.
We have two and four wheel hot-rodders racing by, making amazing noises, and many man-hours were invested in tuning the sound-producers.
They can make you jump if they're right on you, and racing into a stiff breeze But it's music to their ears, if not a projection of manhood or power. Few people have the mechanical skills, and few have the desire, but I respect what they have created.
I like your definition where the intentional use of sound redefines how we label the results. Art is in a very large tent
