Thank you for mentioning, I was not aware of this, I know of Zenity used in command lines but never thought about it being used by these actual programs, let alone being the reason why this issue was occurring.

Thank you for the idea to check older version of Ardour I would not have thought of that, I installed the one from my repo I think it was 7.3 as well and the file picker does work in that version. I installed the newest demo version (not the nightly build) and it does not work.
I would like to be able to compile Ardour, hopefully I can achieve this someday but I couldn't even compile JuicySF and have heard that Ardour is quite a complex compile so don't think I will be able to do so.
I believe my Zenity version is 3.44.0
So JuicySF file picker works with Ardour 7.3 works with Zenity 3.44.0
So that is strange, so then is it just getting the right combination of versions of each?
-But then why wouldn't the official Ardour demo work? I thought it being a standalone would have what it would need, does it still require a separate version of Zenity? and maybe a newer version of Zenity? Wouldn't think that would be officially compiled to require a newer version of Zenity if it does require this application to function.
-Also, with what I mention above, does what Kott mentioned that this may also include WM/DE as well?
Thank you everyone again for trying this out and for sharing this information
