If you want good acoustic drum samples in an OK plugin then the Ugritone stuff is a steal at these prices so grab em while you can.

Works fine on Linux, sounds good, could be used in a non-metal environment, except if you're into jazz. Comes with several presets but you can create your own, if you got the time.
